The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply has made the following procedures using the authority given by sub-section (2) of Section 11 of the Appropriation Act, 2081.
Startup Loan Karja Number: 700 Numbers
Startup Loan Karja Limit: Minimum 5 Lakhs, Maximum 25 Lakhs Rupees
Startup Loan Karja Interest Rate: 3% Annual
Startup Loan Karja Service Charge: 0.1% of Loan Amount (For 25 Lakhs Loan, service charge is Rs 2,500/- Only)
The main objectives & goals of the Startup Uddham Loan Karja program are to identify young entrepreneurs with the latest ideas or ability to do business based on study, research, exploration or are growth-oriented and provide necessary support for the establishment, operation and growth of enterprise business.

To identify young entrepreneurs who have the latest ideas or ability to do business based on study, research, exploration or are growth-oriented and provide necessary support for the establishment, operation and growth of enterprise business.
- Collaborate with the private sector to promote and develop entrepreneurship in Nepal
- To create an entrepreneurial environment between the public and private sector to promote and develop entrepreneurship in Nepal
- Abbreviation and Commencement: (1) The name of this procedure is “Startup Enterprises Loan Operation Procedure, 2081”.
(2) This procedure shall commence from the date of approval by the Ministry. - Definition: In this procedure, unless the subject or context requires otherwise,-
(a) “Enterprise” means an industry, firm or company that has met the qualifications under Section 4.
(b) “loan” means a startup loan granted to a startup enterprise under section 13;
c) “Credit Appraisal” means the process of assessing the financial standing and creditworthiness of an entrepreneur from a bank applying for credit facilities.
(d) “Establishment” means Industrial Business Development Establishment.
(e) “Bank” means a Government-owned commercial bank assigned the responsibility of disbursing loans in accordance with this procedure.
(f) “Ministry” means the Ministry of Industries, Commerce and Supplies;
(g) “Committee” means Facilitation Committee as per Section 22.
(h) “Startup Enterprise” means an enterprise that is operated as a business and has the potential to be upgraded by using new research and creative thinking in the development, production, operation and distribution of goods, services and processes, and the term includes the use of information technology and the use of creative thinking. Also refers to an enterprise or business.
Who are Eligible for Startup Uddham Loan Karja- Required Qualification for Startup Loan Karja
Eligibility of Startup Enterprises: The following qualifications & conditions are eligible for the Startup loan Karja application.
- Entrepreneurs who meet the following qualifications will be eligible to receive loans according to this procedure:
- Not exceeding ten years of business registration;
- Registered with the Industry Registration Authority as a private firm, partnership firm, company or cooperative society;
- The annual turnover does not exceed fifteen crore rupees in any financial year after the establishment of the enterprise business;
- Carried on a new enterprise business without merging or breaking up the business of an existing enterprise;
- They are transforming innovative and creative thinking into an enterprise business with potential for rapid growth.
StartUp Uddham Loan Application Enterprise Startup Loan by the Government of Nepal
The Department of Industry has issued a notice and called upon all businessmen who meet the criteria to offer loans. Startup entrepreneurs willing to take loans with latest knowledge, thinking, skills and abilities should submit a proposal.
