Eligibility Criteria

Students are eligible to apply if they:

  • Have previously studied in NEB-affiliated schools/colleges
  • Failed certain subjects or received D/E grades in the old grading system
  • Have registration numbers starting with 56 or higher and below 77 for Grade 12
  • Have registration numbers starting with 56 or higher and below 76 for Grade 11

Registration Process and Timeline

  1. Application Period:
    • Start Date: 2081 Kartik 23
    • End Date: December 12, 2024 (Mangsir 27, 2081)
    • Schools must submit collected forms by: December 17, 2024 (Poush 2, 2081)
  2. Fee Structure:
    • Registration fee: NPR 1,000 per section/grade
    • Same fee applies for practical-only subjects
    • Payment methods: Direct bank deposit or digital payment gateways
  3. Online Registration:
    • Schools must enter student details online at https://exam.neb.gov.np
    • Online entry period: November 16 to November 30, 2024 (Mangsir 1 to Mangsir End, 2081)

Students can only register for the subjects they failed or got poor grades in. They must take the exam according to their old course syllabus. All forms must be filled out by the students themselves, and schools need to enter these details online through the NEB website (exam.neb.gov.np) between November 16-30, 2024. The exam centers and dates will be announced later after all registrations are complete.

Important Guidelines

  1. Subject Selection:
    • Students can only register for failed subjects or subjects with unsatisfactory grades
    • Additional subject registrations allowed (maximum 100 marks each for Grade 11 and 12)
  2. Documentation Requirements:
    • Original migration certificate or institutional recommendation letter for additional subjects
    • Digital payment proof (if applicable)
    • Printed copy of online entry form
  3. Curriculum and Examination:
    • Students must follow the old curriculum
    • For subjects with different full marks but same names, students must appear as per their studied curriculum
    • Both theoretical and practical exam codes must be mentioned if applicable
  4. Special Cases:
    • Students from closed or non-operational schools can submit forms directly to NEB offices
    • Forms must be filled by students themselves
    • Examination centers and schedules will be published later based on registration numbers

The examination board has instructed all affiliated schools and campuses to properly verify and submit the applications according to registration years and numbers. Schools are advised to carefully follow the online entry procedures and ensure all required documentation is complete before submission.
