Job Title: . MERL Specialist-USAID Equity and Inclusion in Education
(Open to all applicants, Fixed term employment until Dec 2025) based in Country Office.
Responsibility:
The Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) Specialist will help to ensure an effective MERL system is in place for the project. The MERL Specialist will be responsible to design and lead the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities and ensure the result-based management of the project.
This will include development and implementation of MERL systems, regular collection of monitoring data and its analysis for management information purposes. The position holder will provide inputs to the project team to ensure effective application of learning, as well as to contribute to various evaluations and research initiatives. S/He will also develop capacity of field and partner organisation staff in all MERL related tasks, systems and processes.

Job Title: Technical Coordinator-SAFE Girls Project
(Open to all applicants, Fixed term employment until Dec 2026) based in Regional Office West – Bhalubang, Dang
Responsibility:
Develop Technical guidelines including quality benchmark for the project activities. Ensure that the activities of the project are delivered with technical standards- in alignment with UNFPA and government guidelines. Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Program Participants and Gender Equality and Inclusion (DEI) are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.

Job Title: Team Leader
(Fixed-term contract of 3.5 years based in Kathmandu)
Responsibility:
The Team Leader of the project will lead the project in partnership with local NGO/s and other relevant partners. The project shall be implemented by local NGO partners. The position is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring and control and closure of the project within donor compliance within Nepal. The position shall maintain close coordination with Plan International UK and with in-country donor focal points, local implementing partner and other key stakeholders including relevant tiers of the government.

Qualification:
Master’s degree in Gender studies, development studies, legal studies, governance and any other relevant subject with expertise in managing a project that entails CSOs engagement, advocacy and influence as key area and has diverse and interlinked themes; should have both technical as well as managerial expertise in leading project related to civil society engagement and citizens engagement.
Job Title: Finance and Grants Expert
(Fixed term contract of 3.5 years based in Kathmandu)
Responsibility:
Oversee the project’s financial health, ensuring adherence to budgets and regulations including strategic financial planning, rigorous budget management, and strict grant compliance, monitoring the financial performance of implementing partners and building their capacity.

Qualification:
Master’s degree in relevant financial or international development field, Professional degree such as CA/ACCA/CPA is highly preferable with exceptional organizational skills and a deep understanding of grant regulations. S/he will also be responsible for.
Job Title: Gender, Equity, Diversity and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) Expert
(Fixed term contract of 3.5 years based in Kathmandu)
Responsibility:
Responsible for overseeing transformative GEDSI technical advice, ensuring best practice on GEDSI issues across the programme, including safeguarding and working with rights based CSO and marginalised groups.

Qualification:
Master’s degree in Social Science, Gender Studies or relevant areas with expert knowledge and expertise on GEDSI, intersectional vulnerability within marginalised groups, gender and patriarchal norms and leave no one behind agenda, as well as developing and implementing strategies to address GEDSI issues in development programming within Nepal and / or in a similar the global south context.
Job Title: Operations Assistant
(Open to all applicants, Fixed term employment until December 2026) based in Regional Office East – Dhanusha
Responsibility:
Ensure regular payment of utility bills, i.e. Electricity, Water, gas, telephone and gasoline etc. Prepare monthly report on use of utilities. Ensure proper filing of Operation related documents. Manage cash fund transactions and accurately maintain record of expenditures and cash balance on a daily basis. Process for cash fund replenishment when the expenditure exceeds prescribed limit.
Ensure payment requests are approved by concerned authority and has supporting documents before releasing payment out of cash fund. Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to gender and diversity. Have experience and the ability to live and work in diverse cultural contexts in a culturally appropriate manner. Seeks constructive outcomes, listens to others, willing to compromise when appropriate. Builds constructive relationships across Plan International to support our shared goals.

Job Title: Project Specialist- SAFE Girls
(Open to all applicants, Fixed term employment until Dec 2026) based in Country office- Kathmandu
Responsibility:
Provide strategic, and managerial leadership for the project “Safe and enabling environment for adolescent girls and young women (SAFE-Girls)”. Ensure effective project implementation, provide strategic and managerial support, and act as liaison between partner organization and Plan International Nepal on a regular basis.
Where necessary provide capacity building directly or by involving the appropriate department (either technical or support), carry out partners’ assessment as required by the projects and organization, make necessary capacity building plan and ensure its implementation. Leads and develops project’s work plan and budget in coordination and consultation with local implementing partner and other relevant stakeholders. Ensures the project team of both Plan International Nepal and partner are aware about the Safeguarding policy. Escalates issues to the supervisor or department head depending on the type of risk and level of risk-bearing accountability of the role.
